4-H Dairy Events
Dairy Goat Judging Contests 60GOS
Held at the Florida State Fair and the Central Florida Fair, this event provides 4-Hers with an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and ability in the selection and evaluation of dairy goats.
Dairy Poster Contest 65DAS
This contest encourages youth to learn more about milk, milk products, their importance to human health, the communication of these ideas to the public, and the meaning of the Real Seal program. Every 4-H'er is permitted to design a poster telling a story about milk and/or milk products (the poster in this contest does not necessarily have to use the designated theme).
Dairy Judging Event 60DAS
The Dairy Judging Events are held at the Florida State Fair and the Central Florida Fair. This event provides 4-Hers with an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and ability in the selection and evaluation of all breeds and ages of dairy cattle.
Dairy Quiz Bowl 70DAS
The Dairy Quiz Bowl is held during July or August in Gainesville, FL. Counties enter teams at the state level to enhance their knowledge of the dairy industry, agriculture, and biological sciences. Competition points are awarded for correctly answering questions about the dairy industry and closely-related fields.
